Relatives and friends of Noach Flug, president of the International Auschwitz committee, who passed away today at age 85, attend his funeral at the Kiryat Anavim cemetery near Jerusalem. Flug, a well-known activist on behalf of Holocaust survivors, successfully lead efforts to increase stipends and ensure the rights of the aging and dwindling population of survivors in Israel, he was also chairman of the Organization of Holocaust Survivors in Israel, vice president of the Claims Conference and a member of the Yad Vashem managing committee.
