Israeli President Shimon Peres lights a candle during a memorial service in memory of the late Israeli prime minister Yitzak Rabin. Israel marks the 16th anniversary of the assassination of the late prime minister and Nobel Peace laureate, who led the way in the effort towards peace between Israelis and Palestinians. Rabin was assassinated in Tel Aviv by a Jewish extremist.
